Donations & Giving

You can donate online through our secure Donate page . We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, and bank transfers (ACH). For one-time or recurring gifts, our online form allows you to choose between Local Scholarship Fund, Study Abroad Sponsorship Fund, or Where Most Needed.

Absolutely. When you donate, simply include a note or select from the dropdown menu (where available) specifying the Region you wish to support. We will direct your funds to scholarships, mentorship, or leadership programs in that Region.

Yes. Our donation form allows you to designate your gift to any of our four core programs. You can also choose Study Abroad Sponsorship as a separate designation.

For local scholarships (in Ghana), we can arrange a named sponsorship of an individual student for donations of $500+ per year. You will receive the student’s first name, general location, grade reports, and a thank-you letter (with permission). Due to child protection policies, we do not share full names or photos without explicit, revocable consent.

No. We never sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to outside parties. We may share your information with trusted service providers (e.g., payment processors) solely to complete transactions. See our full Privacy Policy (link).

Yes. On our Donate page, select “Monthly” instead of “One-time.” Recurring donations provide stable, predictable funding that allows us to plan long-term scholarships and mentorship.

Email donate@smartleadfoundation.org with your request. For security, we will ask you to confirm certain information before making changes.

Study abroad sponsorships require a higher level of coordination. Please contact sponsor@smartleadfoundation.org to discuss:

Visit our Donate page and select Local Scholarship Fund.

Retention is very high in our program (94% annually). However, if a student leaves school due to family crisis, illness, or other unavoidable circumstances, we will:

  • Notify you within 30 days.
  • Offer to transfer your sponsorship to another student in the same country and program.
  • If you prefer, refund the unspent portion of your donation (minus any funds already disbursed).

We currently support students in Ghana. Our founding team is based in USA, and we are registered there as a nonprofit.
